Student Life
At Children In the Spirit Christian School (CIS),
student life is rooted in creating a joyful, nurturing, and engaging environment where students feel safe, valued, and inspired each day. We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom, and we intentionally create experiences that support the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
A Nurturing & Structured Environment
Faith & Character Development
Our classrooms are designed to be welcoming, structured, and student-centered. Through daily routines and clear expectations, students develop responsibility, independence, and confidence. Teachers foster positive relationships with students, ensuring that each child feels seen, heard, and supported.
Faith is woven into every aspect of student life at CIS. Through daily prayer, Bible study, and character-building lessons, students grow in their understanding of Christian values such as respect, kindness, integrity, and responsibility.
We strive to develop students who not only succeed academically but also demonstrate strong character and a heart for others.
Engaging Learning Experiences
Clubs, Activities & Enrichment
Students actively participate in hands-on and meaningful learning experiences that make education exciting and memorable. From classroom centers and group activities to science experiments and project-based learning, students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and think critically.
Student life at CIS includes opportunities for students to explore their interests and build new skills beyond the classroom. Through programs such as:
-
Cheer ProgramÂ
-
Boys and Girls Mentoring ProgramÂ
-
Chess Club (Launching 2026–2027)Â
-
Tech Club (Launching 2026–2027)Â
students develop leadership, teamwork, and confidence while engaging in fun and purposeful activities.
Field Trips & School Events
A Strong School Community
We believe in exposing students to the world around them. Through educational field trips, annual events, and school-wide celebrations, students gain real-world experiences that enhance their learning and create lasting memories.
At CIS, we are more than a school—we are a family. We value strong relationships between students, staff, and families. Parent involvement is encouraged, and we work together to create a supportive and connected community that promotes student success.
